Toyota teases a compact rugged SUV and another crossover at Land Cruiser debut
Earlier this week Toyota unveiled the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, which means that the iconic SUV is making its return to the U.S. Toyota’s brand chief Simon Humphries, discussed all the news about the Land Cruiser during a presentation, but what we’re now looking at is what was teased at the end of the presentation.
Near the end of the presentation, Humphries stood in front of a slide previewed three new vehicles. On the top left, the silhouette of the SUV looks like a new version of the Compact Cruiser EV concept that debuted in 2021, which gave us hints at a new FJ Cruiser. The SUV teased here looks a bit bigger than the Compact Cruiser, which means that Toyota might be getting close to introducing a replacement for the FJ Cruiser, which left our shores 10 years ago.
On the right there’s another shadow of an SUV that is larger, and looks large enough to be a three-row SUV. It looks similar to the bZ5X concept, which means that it’s likely a battery-electric SUV. We already know that Lexus is working on a new electric three-row SUV, so this could be Toyota’s version.
Lastly a three-wheel mobility scooter was teased.
